June 2025
- NHS login was first introduced on Swiftqueue website in June 2025.
- The ability to login as an existing Swiftqueue user has also still been available since then.
- Patient Help Centre articles were updated to include NHS login information.
- New videos were created and added to Help Centre articles, making it easy for patients to see how the new login process works.
- User's have had the ability to link their NHS login account for the last year.
Most recently, the following changes have been introduced:
Since May 2026
- NHS login option now shows as the main login option on our Swiftqueue website
- The option to login as an existing Swiftqueue user is less prominent on the main login page, but patients can still login this way if they choose until 1st July 2026.
- The patient is encouraged to link their NHS login account and made aware of the upcoming deadline via messaging on the site if you choose to login as an existing user.
- If the patient decides not to link their NHS login account, they can still book an appointment via their Swiftqueue account.
- A follow up email is now sent to patients who book via their existing Swiftqueue login, encouraging the patient to link their account prior to the deadline which includes all relevant links and prompts on how to do this.
- Patient Help Centre articles were updated with all relevant prompts for using NHS login via Swiftqueue and new articles were created to help patients link their NHS login account to their Swiftqueue account.
From June 2026
- Swiftqueue now sends a further email to all patients who have booked an appointment from 1st July 2026 onwards, but who have not yet linked their NHS login to their Swiftqueue account to give them the opportunity to do this.
- This is currently being done in a staggered phase during the month of June, again allowing patients to link their account so it’s set up for NHS login when they next need it.
- Note: If a patient hasn't linked their account before 1st July 2026, they can simply link it next time they login. They will be prompted to do this.
- Further updates to our Patient Help Centre to create additional articles based on our user's feedback and questions and a new dedicated NHS login queries section now created for ease of use.
