I don't want to change to using NHS login. What are my options?
We understand that being asked to use NHS login may feel like an extra step, especially if you are used to our previous sign-in process before.
- Access via NHS login is the standard for all patient-facing services and is mandatory for integration with the NHS app. Swiftqueue partner with NHS login, so provides this service.
- We appreciate that this may be different from how you previously registered or signed in, but the change has been made to comply with NHS England’s identification and verification specification standards, expected for digital health and care service.
- This is in line with the overall NHS England vision, to make the NHS app the digital front door for all patient services.
NOTE: Only HOW you login to Swiftqueue is changing
- Once logged in, there are no changes to how to book, cancel or reschedule your appointments.
- Once you login, any family members currently listed on your account will still show in your patient portal so there is no other impact to how you book, cancel or reschedule your healthcare appointments.
Benefits of NHS login
- NHS login allows you to access and manage your health and care websites and apps with one set of login details, making it much easier and quicker to use.
- Switching to NHS login is the first step in the journey, for appointments booked via Swiftqueue to be made available through the NHS app.
- While you cannot currently access your Swiftqueue account or view your booked appointments directly from the NHS app, this will be coming at a later stage.
Telephone Support
If you still don't wish to book online for your appointments via Swiftqueue, many NHS Trusts still offer a telephone booking system. so you can contact their booking line and book your appointment by phone.
Note: The call centre / booking lines are managed by the NHS teams and not Swiftqueue. Online access to Swiftqueue will be via NHS login only.
To check if your local NHS Trust offers a booking line and to locate their telephone number, please look at the NHS website for your specific Trust / clinic.
Unsure how to check this? - Type Blood test phone number for (clinic name or Trust name) in your internet browser which should direct you to the relevant NHS Trust website.
