I need to book an x-ray / radiology appointment - how do I do this?
How to book:
- To book an appointment at one of the Royal Berkshire Radiology clinics, please book using the specific link given to you by your GP.
- This link will allow you to choose the clinic location for your x-ray appointment.
- Please note: X-ray appointments cannot be booked via the main Search box on the Swiftqueue website.
- They can only be booked via the specific link which your GP will provide for you when advising you to book an x-ray appointment.
Step 1:
- Click on the link provided by your GP to begin booking your x-ray appointment.
- Once you open the link you will then see the different clinic locations available and the next available appointment.
- Choose your preferred location by clicking on the blue 'Book an appointment' button beside your chosen location for your appointment.
Step 2:
- Click on the Plain Film X-ray tab to continue.
Step 3:
- Select the date and time you wish to attend and then click the NEXT button.
- The time screen will offer you the next available time. (In this example Fri 6th June is the first available date. There are no earlier dates available)
- You can click the right arrow to move to a later date / month if needed.
Step 4:
- Please login to your Swiftqueue account if you have used Swiftqueue before by entering your registered email address and password.
- Or click the blue 'Register here' option if this is your first time using Swiftqueue.
- Please see our Registration article if you need any help with registration process.
- If you have forgotten your login details, you can reset your password by clicking on the 'I forgot my Password' option. For more help on this please see our article 'Reset My Password'
Step 5:
- On the confirmation page, select the Patient Name for the appointment.
- Tick the box to agree to the terms and conditions of the appointment.
- Option to add comments so that the staff are aware if required.
- Special Assistance option available. Please note this is an information alert only. This alerts the staff that you may need assistance. This does NOT request any wheelchair etc. (This type of assistance must re requested directly with the hospital as we cannot help with this)
Step 6:
- Your appointment is now booked and will show in your Upcoming Appointments section of your patient portal.
- You will also receive a confirmation email for your appointment.
- Please check your junk / spam folder if you don't receive this in case it has been redirected there instead of your main email folders.
